Meet The Team
Ralph has spent the last 40 years in construction, starting with the basics of framing, the onto estimation and project management and later construction of the world’s tallest hybrid wood structure. Ralph formed Seagate nearly 10 years ago when prefabricated framing was just in the experimental stages in Canada. Seagate quickly adopted it on every project and has since become the leader in install. Ralph’s reputation in the industry is unparalleled.
Nate is a carpenter by trade and has a background in saw milling and mass timber. Nate spent more than 7 years working with another leading mass timber company prior to joining seagate in 2014. In addition to Project Management, Nate is responsible for Seagate’s estimation team as well as many other day to day activities.
CPA, CA - Controller
Luke has a B. Comm. from the Ontario Institute of Technology in accounting and both a CPA and CA designation. Formerly an accountant at Deloitte, Luke is responsible for all financial administration at Seagate.
Chief Strategy Officer
James holds a J.D. and a B.A. from the University of Saskatchewan. After nearly 10 years lawyering, James went prefab as the CEO of Karoleena a designer prefab home building based out of OK Falls, BC. After selling Karoleena to a public company James joined Seagate to share his experience. James is responsible for strategic planning and other roles at Seagate.
All the way from Newfoundland, Steve is responsible for HR, materials and people management throughout the company. Steve has more than 20 years experience in the finishing trades, worked his way to becoming a small business owner and ultimately on to being a foreman and site super for various builders on the east coast before making his way out west to join the Seagate team.
Jenny has a long history in the retail and service sectors in a range of roles, but the call was made to the Seagate Team where she assists with the business of administration of Seagate. Jenny has a B.A. from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Diploma in Web Development.
Shereen Khalifa, PQS
Shereen has been working in the Engineering and Construction Project Management field for the past 10 years. She has an ongoing commitment to professional development; after completing a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering, she became a Construction Estimator Certified (CEC) and Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS). She is currently in pursuit of the Project Management Professional (PMP) and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Certification Exams. At Seagate, Shereen is responsible for the Project Management day to day activities.
